Bengaluru formerly known as Bangalore is one of the more modern cities in India. It is a big business hub and we quite enjoyed strolling around and discovering interesting areas.

One area I remember we wandered into was a street packed with University books for sale. New and second hand. I believe it may have been the Raja Market. This road led to a major intersection and on the other side was the Bangalore Fort and Tipu Sultan's Palace.

We also tried a few stops on the newly built subway system. Not too many people were using it but it was enjoyable and to get in, there was some security checking and metal detectors.
